Established in 2005, RAID Limited was born out of a successful SMART : Scotland award. The company's vision, at this time, was to build a sophisticated 'engine' which could be used for the real-time analysis of natural language communication. This would represent a significant challenge due to the high level of technological innovation and intense processing requirements.

In 2007 the company achieved its ambition by successfully demonstrating the ConText engine. ConText has far surpassed their expectations and now operates as a language independent, real-time analysis tool that is capable of working with unstructured grammar, such as 'SMS' and 'Chat Room' linguistics. Today RAID is working with the National High Tech Crime Unit to build a revolutionary product that will dramatically improve the efficiency of online policing.
